Odd XP icon problem

In the last few days, I've noticed an odd problem with some icons and file folders when the 'thumbnail' option is selected for the folder contents in WinXP. Some examples attached - it seems to be file independant. Very strange/annoying!. By the way, files/folders aren't selected to be hidden or anything.

    Any thoughts?

    TIA.

Not to worry, figured it out.... need to right click on the thumbnail in question, and select 'Refresh thumbnail' (an option I had never noticed before....).

In some cases, had to manually browseto the picture, but this only takes a couple of seconds.
