Can anyone recommend a router that takes 2 isdn lines and has at least 8 ethernet ports, and can preferably act as a firewall too.
    Thanks

By 2 ISDN lines, I assume you're using a single standard 2-port ISDN TA. (2 bri numbers, not 4)

Ciscos are presumably overkill for you so...

We used a 3com officeconnect lan/modem with 1 isdn port (carries 2 lines over a cat5 cable) , 4 lan hub and a basic nat firewall which was reliable. Bit out of date by now.
Combine with low cost small switch for 8 or more ports.

You could also try something like
SMC7008ABR router + a seperate serial-port ISDN modem, with the ability to add dsl later and keep isdn as a backup. But I find that the older 56k dialup SMC router at home is just ok in terms of reliability, with only 3 computers on it.
