Mouse Freezing In Firefox

    Hi Folks,
This started happening today, I was doing an extensive google image search, opening many tabs in several windows when it first started to happen.

For some reason, the mouse freezes for about 5 seconds, then works for 1 second, to go back to freezing for 5 seconds and so on.

Even when I close Firefox, it keeps happening, which makes me think it's maybe not Firefox causing the freezing. But it's always started when I'm using it.

It's not the processor - it's running at quite a low rate when the freezing occurs. I've also tried closing every application running under my username in Window XP.

As you can image, this is very, very annoying. Restarting solves the problem, for it to happen again some time after booting when using FireFox again.
    Any ideas?

    S.

i've been experiencing that problem aswell, though not in firefox. Generally only in Counter-Strike. If you get a solution, let me know, i'm soo tempted to reinstall windows, as thats the only thing i know that could fix it.
