I only got Shogun as I like that period best. I'll probably pick up the Medieval one when you can get a gold pack with them all in it. I hope Rome doesn't require a mega PC to run thpugh.

Its a game consumes hours of my time when I get into it. I have to be careful not to get hooked when I'm busy with work etc.

    Same with Homeworld too.

Well i'm gettin an upgrade at Christmas so i shouldn't have a problem running it. Although i agree i get tired of the turn based stratagy style gameplay. But still its a wicked game :D

Turn based risk style? What do you mean. On the map where you have to wait for time to go by? I only have Shogun remember, did they change how it works from that?

This game is going to rock the strategy world. I cannot wait. Check out this stunning video, you need to register for the forums, but oh man is it worth it. Ten minute of footage, including sieges and rousing speaches by the generals!

    WOW

Its only risk style on the map............ dont know how you could run that part of the game as an RTS you probly wouldnt get time to build any armys or anything..... which would suck.

yea RicardoSmith, Turn based risk style was like you would click a load of upgrades that take about 10 turns each, move a few armys here and there (some magically jumping from one side of the world to the other via docks) check for potential revolts, save, and then finally click end turn, and any battles that are fought are on a cool 3d map, but this map is tiny

i would prefer to be able to buy upgrades like in aoe, be able to view a marching army from a few miles above, design my own castle structures, walls, and defences, the whole game should be on a huge 3d map the size of those flight sim maps

I think in this one the campaign and battle maps are one in the same with the cities you build being on the map and you being able to see the full armies moving around but still having a risk style turn based section and then going rts for the battles. At least I think this was what they were going to do for this one-sounded very ambitiuos when I was reading it a few monthes back.

that sounds good orangerooster, i really hated the way the battle field just ended and i couldnt march on, cant wait to play the campaign mode through

if battles are like that tv show timecommanders then it will be an amazing game

There were some dire tacticans on that TV game show.

So is this different from Shogun or not. Sounds the same so far.

Its totally the same - they havent changed a thing since Shogun.

Except that the risk style strategy level game is gone. The map that you see now is apparently thousands and thousands of map squares laid out beside each other so the battlefield is no longer really random, and you can build forts/garrisons to hold mountain passes, river crossings and so on.

Oh and theyve made some minor improvements to the in-battle engine since Shogun.

The game is soo much different for instance the campaign is in alot more detail and gets u into the game alot more than Shogun or Medieval! Forts and Cities across the hugr battlefield. The graphics are amazing and the in game engine rocks!
This is a brilliant lookin game!! ww)
