Obsession

    His name is unlike others
& his words keep me occupied,
    The touch he gives
send shivers up & down my spine.

    His memory gets me
    lost in time,
    and his embrace
    isn't only mine.

The passion flows through my viens
& he makes my blood boil,
    To feel him inside me
    makes it all worth while.

    I'll share him,
because I know he must roam...
He will never keep just one
    to make a home.

    He makes me burn inside
    only for him,
    Stimlulating both my
    body and my mind

His heart is out of reach,
    his depth slice through ice
    his tenderness creeps from beneath
and can only be seen by my eyes.

    I long for his voice
    yearn for his touch,
    His kiss alone
    is my only crutch.

I've had a taste & now my hunger
    it cant be satisfied,
his soul is what I need now...
    The chase becomes intensified.

    His juices flowing through me,
    he makes my thirst great...
    I need more,
I let his passion consume me.

    I kiss the night air
    always wishing him there,
    Daydreams take me to him
    until the sunlight grows dim.

    Despair in my heart
    no word for days,
    I wade in the river
    perturbed in a daze.

    Head on my pillow
    & sighs of anguish,
    To be near him
    is my only wish.

A nice insight into what obsession is like on the other side of the fence :)

yes, precisley what I am doing here.
I would like to take a word that has a strong feeling behind it and write something about it atleast once a week if not more.

It is a good way to practice writing , just take a word and write something about it...(words about words :) )mine as I said are words that command a certain feeling.

We'll see how it goes ;)

Yes , I do. :) Usually my ideas come from within me.....usually relating to what is happening in my life at the time. However I've never just choosen a word and wrote about it ( so I find this aspect interesting ) .....usually "events" tend to choose me. It tends to be a haphazard thing with me. I can get an idea stuck in my head and it won't go away until I write it down or tell a friend about it ....then it will fade. So I was wondering if you had choosen the word for one reason or another or it had choosen you. Several people I know that scuplt and/or paint and they tell me that what they work on tends to tell them what it wants to be.....or even more so, what it has chosen NOT to be. They tend to have great deal of frustration if they "argue" with a piece until they give in and "listen" to what IT wants to be. Once they give in it turns out to be much better than what they had originally planned in the beginning. Although it probably sounds strange to some it does happen. I find the artistic mind very interesting. :)

I am sorry I misunderstood your questions, I thought you meant the words in the poem, not the title word.
I just chose the title word because I gelt it had a strong feeling about it, I actually made a list of words that have that feel and chose it first.

I too am a painter and when I paint I dont have anything in mind, I only sit down to piant if I am feeling particularly inspirational, either really happy or really sad and what comes onto the canvas is a reflection of how I am feeling...much as my writing.
I put myself into the subject as if it were real and write about my feelings from there.

    hope that helps ;)

    Anger

    or

    Frustration

They'd be my two words of this week! I should sit down and write something on them. Maybe the other words are laziness and rejection.
