DAOC lag problem...

Anyone playing the Euro version of Dark age of Camelot, using Eircom as ISP?

I switched form the US version recently, and I'm getting horrendous lag spikes. Regular 5-15 second ones, 3 or so times a minute.

I'm on 128k ISDN, have a firewall installed and there's no spyware, bots or other bandwidth hoggers running (actually my bandwidth never exceeds 30% usage).

I'm assuming it's either server side lag or a dodgy router somewhere along the line, but a trace route doesn't seem to show up any problems.

Anyone else getting this, by any chance??

I used to play DAOC on 64 k isdn with no lag unless there was a keep or relic raid... Ive also shared a 64 k line between two users with only a small ammount of lag !
( this is on euro server excaliber )

This was about a year ago though so things may have changed.

Got it sorted - there was a network protocol call QoS packet scheduler installed, which is really only used for voice over IP as far as I know. Got rid of it, problem disappeared :D
