Would I be right in saying Phoenix Park has had the most people at a concert? Over 100,000?

Biggest indoor venue would be The Point (17000? I'm not too good at remembering these things).

RDS held 65,000 for Metallica las year.

The Point is the largest music venue in Ireland at 8,000 approx (unless you count the North, I know the Belfast Oddessy is bigger). Not sure about the RDS Main Hall but they haven't had a concert there in a while.

Summer concerts held at Lansdowne Road, RDS, Punchestown Racecourse, Phoenix Park, Slane Castle etc. are significantly larger.

Punchestown (for Witnness, at least) lets in around 70,000, Slane Castle is around 80,000. Phoenix Park is over 100,000. Not sure about Lansdowne Road.

Lansdowne Road was 45000 for the RHCP IIRC.

I thought Metallica was somewhere closer to 37000 last year.

And Slane can hold more than 80000, it just depends on the event.

yeah the point is only like 8000,it seems quite big but tis not really,we just dont have the ability to get HUGE acts to pull in the massive festival crowds, aside from witness etc once a year, but i always see my fav bands skipping over us to play belfast or more uk dates
