DVD Player jerky...

OK, have this Grundig DVD player/dolby decoder that after approx 80mins of a DVD starts to get real jerky, missing frames until the DVD is unwatchable. I'm thinkin that it may be overheating? It's 4 years old and up until now hasn't given any trouble. This is definately not disc-related as all the discs are in perfect cond and play on my other player. Any ideas/suggestions? Maybe recommend a DVD cleaner package that has worked for you?
