Possible problem

I ordered broadband from iol, have it installed now. The problem is that the phone alarm system of the house has been disconnected for a few months now, and is due to be reconnected soon. Will broadband damage or interfere with it? I know they say it might but does it realistically, as i will have to pay an "engineer" to come and do something to the phone alarm if it would.
    Thanks

The other way around. Your alarm will need to have a microfilter fitted to it, so it won't affect your BB signal. There were some posts a good whil ago about doing this yourself - do a search in this forum.
