What's the chip type? CSR? If you're using the same dongle on win32 with widcomm's bt stack you can find it out easily by going to the setup pages of the widcomm stack and selecting "hardware"
    WRT holtmann.org look here http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/devices.html
Then if sucessful check out http://evolusync.sourceforge.net/ that'll sync nokia series 60 phones and those that support obex with evolution.

I have no win32 partition anymore. So I'm unable to check the CSR from that setup page.

No need to :) The wonders of google ahem ;)
    http://www.abclinuxu.cz/hardware/show/50430
It's in czech but the info is easily read - yea it's a csr chip alright and the actual model is a MS-6970 which works in linux according to holtmann.org.
All ya need is bluez - prob installed already - do a hcitool info (prob as root) to confirm.

That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for but I have to install openobex first.
Installed everything to do with bluez from the mandrake cds.
