Law and Order Trial by Jury.

    Candice Bergen and Frasier dad John Mahoney are close to signing on as the stars of NBC's latest Law & Order spinoff, Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Jerry Orbach, who recently left his role as Lenny Briscoe on the original L&O series, is also expected to star in Trial by Jury.

    I always liked John Mahoney & Candice Bergen was pretty good in Murphy Brown.

    Hopefully, TV3 will get this series. RTE would only mess it around or put it on at around 2am.

    It's going to be a bit of adjustment though taking John "Fraiser's Dad" Mahoney seriously though isn't it? He's been playing the same character for eleven years and to go from comedy to serious drama...At least Candice "Murphy Brown" Bergen hasn't been so high profile.

    Regardless though I'm looking forward to my new Law & Order installment. I also hope to see Tom "Homicide: Life on the Street"/"Oz" Fontan's "The Jury" here - that should also be suitably gritty. And pray of course that RTE don't get it - look how they've completely screwed "Law & Order" over and, to a lesser degree, "Law & Order: Criminal Intenent". OTOH, RTE said "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" would be be back in July but, given that they just showed the Season 2 finale, they must be heading straight into Season 3 :)
