I've been looking about and I'm stumped :( Damned if I know what to get, so I'm turning to you people - only the most informed guitarists, right? Of course, it's obvious :ninja:

I'd need a decent distortion pedal as well since there were complications involving my previous one, so we'll say I've €600 to spend.

Looking for a hard sound, not *too* sludgy or anything. I'm not into that dodgy 80s metal ^_^ A bit of a tight ring to it wouldn't be unwelcome but I'm open to suggestions as long as we're in the heavy but not sludgy department.

    All comments/help welcome (:

EDIT: Yeah and one more thing, what's the deal with importing guitars from America? Any trouble I might have? They're a **** sight cheaper from the looks of it what's with that?

I just got a bass that i ordered from ebay a few days ago. It was ex-demo in a music shop in america and it's not available over here (i think) :D . Anyways i was charged 21% Vat, and about 4% duties. Still alot cheaper than buying second hand over here. Im not a guitarist so i cant really help with your question...

P.S. I got my Bass through USPS. www.usps.com . Through EMS (3-5 days) it took 8 days in total due to Customs taking it in. It all went very smoothly though.... $111 in total.

    Try a:

    Gibson SG special faded
    (little bit over 500)

    Epiphone Les Paul/SG

    Fender Mexican Fat Strat

Second hand Santana SE by P.R.S.

Second hand/New 72/69 custom Teles by Fender

Also Try Cort M series (I think it's M or perhaps G Series)

Try to spend a bit more than €600 if you can as it will mean you won't have to resell in a couple of years down the line, try to go second hand also.

I have an Epiphone Slash Signature Les paul for sale. Quite rare now as they're discontinued.

I'm looking for £400 sterling. Not sure what that is in Euro's exactly.

I'll be coming to Ireland to go into town next week so now's an appropriate time to say yes really.

Thanks HusseinSarhan, I'll look into those. Gibson SG sounds good, can't go wrong with trying to look like Kim Thayil.

Oeneus - ooo real bad timing, I won't have the cash for another 3-4 weeks :(
