Tally ho there old chap!! hi andrew james, its Gemma No 1 (the important one you were coaching!!) :D We got in a litttle while ago, still suffering from that concoction and the cheap cider!! :) had a great laugh, but i could have done with a bed and some heat!! at least we'll know what to bring for next year!!

John unfortunately we only kicked the welsh teams ass but we all got PB's so we cant complain!! not sure of final placings yet but sin and my scores were in the low 800s.

and thanks to some fantastic coaching tips ive got new form and im gonna kick some serious ass from now on, im a frikkin archery genius!!!!:p thanks again andrew james, the coaching was very much appreciated and so was you getting up at 6:30 to do it!! talk 2 ya soon

Hi John, you haven't forgotten all about us yet then!! Hope you're having a great laugh. Thanks for the luck, we kinda needed it!

Thanks for the portion of luck from the DCU crowd too Padraic, hope to see you at an outdoor comp VERY soon!

Ewan, they said the results should be up on the net soon so we'll all find out how we ranked overall before too long. I have to say though that the two boys got on very well and did us proud no matter where they finished.

As for us pair of eejits we both could have done much better. Máire settled right in and was kicking my ass for most of the day, at one stage she was in joined fourth place on the leader board. I took a while to settle but when I finally did I got quite consistent and was happy enough. I felt kind of guilty when I beat her in the end, but it's her own fault for not trying harder to beat me!!!

Hi Andy, it's Gemma 2, but you can call me Sinéad from now on thanks. I'm glad you got through to Máire and I'll keep an eye on her to try and maintain your good work! See you at the Euronations & if I'm not talking to you again before then, DON'T FORGET TO BRING ME THE PIN YOU PROMISED ME, but don't worry if you forget it, I'll forgive you eventually I'm sure!!

Thanks to the lovely people from Liverpool who gave us fire & a loan of a metal detector and to everyone else for being so friendly,we all really enjoyed it & hope to be back next year with a few more bodies!

Im glad to see you all made an impression at least :P

Im happy you all enjoyed yourselves, sounds like it was a worthwhile venture, hopefully I will be around for next year to give it a go. Speaking of which, is there an Indoor champs we could go to? I might actually be in Ireland then :)

Well done all, especially Dermot for organsing things, and Sinead for no doubt exerting the iron fist of leadership (speaking as a veteran of the 2000 EuroNations with Sinead as Dark Emperor *cough* I mean captain), and for the rest of ye for taking the time to get it together and going over.

    See you all in Sept

    Ewan

hmmm, I didn't see any guilt. It must have been cleverly hidden behind you're big victory smile:)

Cheers for the well wishes ewan and john. I think I might have finished in the top ten of the novice section. I should have been alot higher though, my shooting wasn't great. We had a great time though and were made fell very welcome by our english hosts

Thanks for the well wishes, it was a great weekend, but next time i'm getting the room, €120 or not :P

Máire, Sinead and Gavin shot brilliant, and i still have all my arrows :P
Thanks to Keith aswell, he couldn't shoot because of his shoulder, unfortunately.
The Liverpool people and everyone were good fun, and kept a warm fire. I have a few pictures, but have to get them processed and scanned, so i'll put them up when i get a chance.

We were a fair bit behind the English and Scottish teams, they were about 3200-3500 we got 2800, but we're capable of getting quite close to that. There indoor champs do have almost 350 people shooting at them, so i imagine they could fit a couple of irish in there, i think the indoors does be in feburary, if someone wants to look into it.

By the way, i'm not sure if i already mentioned it, but there is 30m indoor practice at maynooth every monday and wednesday 8-10pm for the rest of the summer

Given it was (to you, anyway) a whole load of weird distances, not to mention weird scoring and stuff, you all did pretty impressively.

Don't suppose you have some sort of outdoor stuff as well as indoor for University level competition, do you?

(And for those who don't remember, I was the guy in the 666 shirt :ninja: )

Congrats everyone, great to see you all doing so well. And you beat the welsh aswell pretty sweet. Well done Sinead btw, 10th is no mean feat given the competition over there and Maire wasn't too far behind either. An even greater surprise is that Maire is listening to coaching. Whats going on with the world. Oh yoeah, I bumped in to Dermott over here too! Small World. Anyway, hard luck Keith and I gotta run, I'll give you the lowdown on Canadian archery next time I get a chance to post

    Congrats
