I'm banking on the 4 micro questions. If elasticity comes up I'll be laughing my way to a B1 at least, but it doesn't look likely. Hot tips are enterprise for FOP and monopoly/price discrimination for market structures question, which comes up every year. Macro can suck my dick really. It's so vague and annoyingly broad. Might do a couple of topics from it, but other than that, I'm hoping to nail all the micro Q's, and learn all the definitions from the last 5 years or so.

Im hoping elasticity comes up. Thats my best question. I think monopoly will come up to. Dunno what else, but I do know that I wont get it all studied :o

I'm doing the 4 F's of P (come on - it's not that long), the 4 markets (it ensures 2 questions done straight off), supply/demand/elasticity (question number 3 done), then a mixture of fiscal and monetary policies, costs (AC and MC in SR and LR) and all that. Then maybe I'll do one more. And I'll get all this done on Monday afternoon and Tuesday and I'm begging for an A1 :D. Cause I got 88% in the Mocks. I like economics. I want to be an economisist. I might suggest studying the LUAS btw.

History of Economic thought is very easy. The only ones you need know are:

Classical School - Adam Smith, David Ricardo - Believed in Laissez-Faire, believed in Free Trade. Believed that savers created funds for investment. Smith made the Canons of Taxation. Ricarado did the Law of Comparative advantage.

Keynesian Economics - John Maynard Keynes - Free trade, Believed in Govt intervention, formulated theory of the multiplier, formulated theory of Liquidity Preference.

Monetarists - Alfred Marshall - Believed that monetary policy was the main economic weapon, felt inflation HAD to be kept low, laissez-faire, free trade.

That's it really. Don't expect socialism, mercantalists, Malthus or anything like that to come up. Not that hard. Always comes up as a short question or in part of another question. Learn that and it's a handy 20-odd marks.

9pm, haven't started yet. I'm gonna do some definitions, and solidify my micro knowledge, which is good enough, but macro is where it's all not at for me. It's gonna screw me in the short questions. I'm hoping for a repeat of physics i.e. not studying (except the day before, which I can't say for eco) and getting away scot free.

Oops, I did it again :) Seriously I'm nearly feeling guilty now. But was that not the best paper imaginable? My predictions, a long with the other lads in the class:
    Enterprise/Investment - both came up
Monopoly with Price Discrimination - bingo
    EU enlargement - yep
Irish economy in the last year - came up
And to top it all off, they put on elasticity AGAIN. I was laughing audibly when I opened that paper. You'd swear they asked me exactly what I knew before they set that paper, and put it all on. Luckiest exam so far.

    Very good exam paper.

Monopoly and Price Discrimination, Elasticity were good questions, and questions 3, 6 and 7 weren't too bad either. Section A wasn't bad either.

I think it was my best Honours exam anyway.
