Has anyone here seen State of Grace? Just watched it last night. It's a classic gangster movie set in early 90s New York, and shows how the Irish-American mob have evolved. Sean Penn and Gary Oldman are great in it. Well worth a watch. Beats the socks of The Day After Tomorrow.

There's a better one with Denis Leary. I think its name is Noose or Monument Avenue.

For Dublin based movies, The Courier was a reasonably good one.

It was a good film, but I don't see why you would compare it to The Day After Tomorrow...

I don't know if this counts as an Irish gangster movie or just a gangster movie but Miller's Crossing is absolutely brilliant.

If you haven't seen it then drop whatever you're doing and rush out right now to your local video shop and rent it and then rush right to the off-licence and buy some beers and then rush right home and then rush right into your living-room and rush right over to the TV and then put it on and then rush right back to the sofa and sit down and watch it.

    Slowly.
