Help me choose a place in Dublin!

Hello all, in another thread (Traveling to Ireland) I asked about cheap accomodations and got some great help. Now I've narrowed my choices down to two places, both are self-catering apartments. The first is Millenum Towers it is located on Millennium Walk, at the back of the Jervis Shopping Street centre on Upper Abbey Street. I know that is cross the quay from the Temple Bar area. The other is a Days Serviced Apartment and this is located at 81 Lwr Leeson St. Now my wife and I had visited Dublin in 1998 and stayed on Lwr. Leeson St. so we know the area is nice and the walk not too far. But the Millenum Towers is closer and not much more expensive, but how's the area?

Has anyone seen either of these places and do they have some impression about them? We're only in town for three nights so we would like the central location, but if the apartments are depressing then we'll walk the extra distance. I realize that neither has the charm of B&Bs or the older hotels. but the price is quite reasonable.

We'll be in Dublin towards the middle of Septemeber and I look forward to buying a beer for someone who can help me out here.

Also, let me add, the two women in the group seem to think the Days Serviced Apartment has more charm while the two men are looking for the closer to the city center location. To me, the pictures of both places are equally bleak.

Jervis Shopping Street centre on Upper Abbey Street

nothing wrong with that area and as there are a lot of night clubs on leeson street, I would imagine the jervis street area to be quieter as the night goes on.

Thanks! Quieter sounds nicer as I get older, but I remember the clubs from when we visited in 1998.
