Looks like tickets for Madonna at Slane will go on sale on Friday for 88 squid! Pretty pricey concert, but if it's the big name we are paying for, can we get a discount when it's re-announced as "Esther to play at Slane"? :-) lol

Seriously, I can't see her new name catchin on too fast! As one radio presenter said tonight it's a big jump from seeing Madonna in "Like a Virgin" to seeing Esther knitting in a rocking chair! :-) lol

Yeah she was saying that she was named "Madonna" after her mother when she dies and that she has reached the stage in her life where she wanted to be attached to a name with more 'energy'.

Isn't it odd how American celebrities tend to gravitate towards extreme religions but never ones which urge them to cast aside their material possessions?

Very true. Just goes to prove that a lack of respect for oneself can still shine through even if you've achieved success in your chosen career. Have to admit, I don't mind the Buddhists, they're nice in that they don't try to ram their beliefs down your throat like the other main religeons seem to do all the feckin' time...
