IOL broadband partialy down in Gorey

    I have IOL broadband and it seems to be down in Gorey. I can get some pages but not others? banking365.ie, ask.com, msn.com for example. any sugestions

    Can you get to them via their Ip addresses?

    Try resetting Internet explorer to its defaults

    I tried to reset my browser to no effect. attached are some ping results.

    ask.com is in the US - 140ms pings would be about right.

    There is no 365online.com - try www.365online.com
    C:\Documents and Settings\Aidan>ping hotmail.com

    Request timed out.
    hotmail blocks icmp - nobody gets a ping response from them. (This is not at all uncommon - not getting a ping response doesn't tell you anything).
    C:\Documents and Settings\Aidan>ping yahoo.co.uk
    Minimum = 36ms, Maximum = 37ms, Average = 36ms
    Nothing wrong with those numbers either.

    your pings look perfect.

    can you ping the webistes u can not browse to?
    Have u tried typing their Ip address in to your browser?

    Thanks all

    I called the help line. They logged on with my user name, and said there was no problem. When I logged back on the problem seemed to have finnished.
