It's great for the Jordans but really bad news for Williams. The penalty is a bit harsh, considering there was no performance advantage according to Sam Michael. I think a more fitting penalty would have been to fine the teams if it can be proven that there was no performance advantage. The FIA seem to be on a power trip, the penalty given to Kimi for crossing the white line coming out of the pits is a good example.

They were just as harsh on white line crossing last year, or was it the year before? Lol. I remember the red cars getting them too

The FIA have been very strict about the pit exit line for a few years now, IIRC there was big controversy about it in Spa (?) before with a Ferrari.

I don't think the penaltys are harsh at all, nobody would be whinging if it were the Ferrari's who were at fault.

I'm delighted for Jordan though getting the 3 points.

I'm happy for Jenson Button. But Jordon really need shaking up. The only interesting thing about F1 these days is betting on who Sato will hit.

yeah but i reckon ferrari would appeal and then get the decision revoked as they seem to, iirc there was such an incident with there barge boards a few years back

You're probably right- the Ferraris seem to have just a little too much influence over the FIA.
