I saw a clip for it somewhere last week. Cant remember what it entailed, but I remember it well.... enough... :)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167456/

Looks like it's finished already. Hm,, I wonder what Group of people it will target - young'uns or the older generation.

Ha! I remember my Ma telling me to go to bed early when I was young, to get up early to watch a new Series called "Thunderbirds" on Network 2.

I saw the clip on Euronews I think. It looked well - especially the 'ships', and the actors looked wooden-like (afair).

It wasn't all that new if you saw it on Network 2:)

There was a long article about the movie a few weeks ago in the Sunday Times Magazine supplement. As said, Frakes is directing but Gerry Anderson, the man behind it, is not remotely involved. They've tried to jazz up some of the old items but keep the flavour of the original.

To be honest, I much preferred the cartoon spinoff to the marionette series: Thunderbirds 2086. Anyone recall this one?

Yeah, heard bout this a while back!

Read a really bad script review of it a while back on Ain't It Cool News.

    See Here

Being released here on the 23rd July. A week before the US release on July 30th.

I would get my hopes up, its aimed at 10 year old kids rather than 20, 30, 40 - something post-modern ironic children!

    Mike.

Being a big fan of the series in my youth, I have very fond memories of good ol' International Rescue...

But the seeming campness of the movie could go either way...

I'd saw since Franks is directing it, it should be a decent enough effort.

Thought it was pretty well know though. Theres been big posters and stand in Omni cinema for about a month now.

its a kids film the real tunderbirds the grown up get captured and there kids all join together to save them and the world

its the same a spy kids

if you watch any of the trailers on quicktime you will see what i am on about

why did they take tunderbirds that all us 20-30 year olds remember and aim it at the 10-15 year old kids who dont have a clue what a Tunderbird is
