Can somebody tell me what kind of cut-off levels there are for insuring a car? For example, would there usually be a big difference between 1L and 1.4L Golf? I'm trying to find out for my sister... she'll have to put down a parent as the main driver and get herself on as a named driver. Right now she's thinking of either a 1L Polo or a 1.4 Golf, but the insurance is the main factor.

I dont think there is i think they just go by the amount of claims on the car and that cause my insurance is cheaper on a 1.6 corolla than on 1.0 diesel charade i reckon its just random to be honest
