As the title suggests, im about to buy a new sim card...

was just wondering if anyone here knew which network were closer to supporting WAP 2.0 between o2 and vodafone, as im planning on buying a 6600 or 7600 again when they do...
(so it'd be easier just to get the right network now, rather than have to switch later if the other network of the two has wap 2.0 support first)

so, anyone got a realistic idea?

    Well first of all I wouldn't buy a 7600, go for the 6600 ;)

And 3G will be set up soon (next few months) .

The voda test wap2 gateway is working fine - think it is due to be launched in the next month or 2.

The next month or two?! They had better get their arses in gear or I will be joining the rest of my mates on O2. I don't think much of voda's website either.

We will see ... it is now looking more like the end of the year before we will see 3 launch.

It wouldn't matter if you could get the settings, you'd need to have the WAP 2 APN enabled on your SIM ;)

Anyways, it should be available to Joe Public in 3-4 weeks.

On O2 the WAP 1.x and WAP 2.0 APNs are the same and you're preprovisioned by default to them with GPRS access.
