5.1 Centre Speaker probs...

This is driving me nuts. I have a Creative SounBlaster Live 5.1 Digital with Creative 5300 5.1 speakers. Originally I was very happy. I had the card installed with the drivers which came packaged with it. Everything was ok, except sometimes the card would stop altogether on startup, however a quick check on the speaker setup in the XP control panel sorted that out each time.
I decided (stupidly) to download the latest drivers to see if that would sort the problem, however following the installation of the new drivers, my centre speaker has decided to stop working. It is still hissing away, however, when I do the Creative Speaker test, I don't get anything from the centre speaker. I tried to roll back the drivers, however the centre speaker still will not work. I even tried a damn system restore, still no sound from centre speaker.
I have checked the Creative website, and there are just a whole load of unhelpful comments (which I have tried) which don't help. No definitive answer.
Has anyone had this problem and what the hell did you do?

    Much appreciated.

I dont have the same card as you do but I did experience some problem with sound from my speakers. Turns out something was turn off on my "Creative Surround Mixer". Check all your settings again, could be something small you may have missed.
