Not sure if this is more suited to here or games forum, but it is still HW Modding.
    Playstation 2 Controller to USB
s it possible to do this like in a xbox controller?.
I read somewhere yesterday that it's not as easy because you need to mess around with the signals, and you need to run it through a chip?
I know you can buy converters online cheap enough, but postage in always against you:eek:
Is there any game shops, or other such places that sell them, in dublin, as i wouldn't mind paying an extra fiver, instead of postage, as it would mean i'd get it into my hand :)

Peats have one for about 20 squid... I'm using one of them atm, found it excellent.
The only thing that doesn't work is the pressure-sensitive buttons, and vibration support is quite dodgy with a lot of games.
    But everything else works ;)
A must if you've got Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PC.

Yeah, VC on the PC. You need analouge controls to fly the heli's properly.
    Thanks for the links.

I just chopped off the end of my PS2 pad and hooked it up to a DB25 parallel port type connector. It needs a molex plug too tho from the inside of the pc, but it works like a charm.

What did you use for drivers?

I used something called NTpadXP, it works for all kinds of pads, NES, SNES....It was a bit awkward to get going, multiple restarts, multiple found new hardware wizards...more restarts, but it works now!
