You will always need more. 10 years ago 1GB would have been a lot. Now 100G is a lot. Next 10 years it'll probably be 100 Terrabytes :)

I have 300 GIG 2x120 Raid 0 and one UDMA 133 60 Gig and that is just enough.

I'm hoping by year's end to have a terrabyte in my PC. If that doesn't happen definitely next summer..just not sure if i'll build a new PC in 6 months or 12 ;)

That's nothing, check out the 1 terabyte hard drive!

"allows users to store nearly two years of continuous music and up to one month of non-stop MPEG-2 video"

I currently have 640 gig's I download quite a lot and I find it hard to fill. Plus 200 Gigs of that is dedicated to video editing.

Now a 400Gb drive would be nice in my XBOX. How many games is that? Probably 200-250...:D :D:D

I have about 264GB (real gigs, not the silly 1000mb HD manufacturer gigabytes) myself, spread across 3 hard disks as per my sig.
Still over 100GB free, which is nice.

I have an 80 gig HD split into 25-25-30 gig partitions. I've given my linux install the 30 gig - and it's hardly using 5 :)

But my C: 25 has about 1gig free, and the D: 25 has about 1 gig free.

Im starting to wonder if linux needs all that space ;)

...wasn't this drive announced in March? (storagereview.com )

Also, AFAIK, Cr3m0's right - the Lacie Bigger disk (the 1TB "drive") is actually four spanned Maxtor Maxline II 250GB drives in a pretty box. Apparently it generates so much heat you can cook things on it... so suggests the review in July's PC Pro anyway...

Can you just imagine how many partitions you have to do on that thing :)
