So, do you think Sato was right to attempt that pass on Barry Kelly from that far back, or should he get penalised. I think he caused an avoidable accident.

Ah, it was a desperate leap, but nothing punishable over. It was exciting to watch, and didn't end Barrichellos race, and without moves like that the sport will get deader and deader! G'wan the Sato! :D

Moves like that are great to see, but lets be honest he hadnt a prayer of making it stick properly... still it showed b*lls.

it was a stupid move that cost him a podium, shouldn't have gone for it, he was faster than reubens and he coulda bided his time.

It was no more outrageous than when Zanardi passed Herta at Laguna Seca back in the day in CART. Herta however, gave Zanardi room to complete the maneuvre and Zanardi became the hero, Barrichello closed the door too late and almost took them both out of the race. The sport needs people to attempt overtaking. Fair play to Sato, he has shown he's not in awe of the Ferrari monopoly both this year and last. The sport needs a few more like him, Montoya, Coulthard, etc - drivers who aren't afraid to try and overtake the Ferrari's. After Monaco and Nurburgring, Sato is quickly becoming my favourite driver.

It was a bit of a kamikaze move, there wasn't much hope of him making it and it did play a part in ending his race. Still, it's great to see an exciting maneouvre like that, the race had far too few of them.
