Which of the 2 live dvd's available of the g3 in concert would be better to get?
The G3 live in denver, with Malmsteen, Vai and Satriani from 2003, or the G3 live in Denver with Satriani, Vai ,and Johnson from 1996?

In terms of sound, wow moments and musical quality etc.

The '96 DVD with Eric Johnson is the better one for sound and production quality. Not too many wow moments here though.

If you're more into blues then again this is the one to choose, if you want to see crazy shredding and guitar smashing etc then the '03 one with Malmsteen would be more to your tastes. There are more songs on the '03 one as well.

If you haven't got them already then I would recommend:

Joe Satriani Live in San Francisco
    and/or
Steve Vai Live at the London Astoria

ahead of the G3 discs just for the sheer musicianship of these guys.

The shredding seems to appeal to me more right at this moment in time. Might just get the cd. But thanks for the help, i appreciate it.:)
