Streambox VCR does it as far as I know. mplayer (the win32 port of the *nix one) should also be able to do it, provided you have the Real Media codecs.

    Net Transport.

It's free and excellent. Lets you pull rtsp/mms/pnm files to your hard drive, it's a bit fiddly to begin with but grand after a few go's.

To record from real format to mp3...

    I found this:

"you can do it with winamp2 with rm-plugin, do it with tmpeg plus with realsplitter or do it with neroburning's converter with rm-plugin!!

    and they all very good!!

the tmpeg plus can also convert the rm movie to mpg format!!

the other two can only convert the rm music!!!!"

TBH, the way I've always done it is through my soundcard's internal loop back. Turn off windows sounds, select "Wave" as your record source, load up a recording program, hit record and play the stream.

I'd rather download the stream and then mess about with it. That way i'm happy...:)

mplayer with the -dump option AFAICR. Haven't used it in a while and not currently installed though.
