    Are you weight training?

    What's your BF% ?

    What's your lean mass weight?

Eat around 1 to 1.5gr per day multiplied by your lean mass in pounds.

Are you looking to gain weight or tone up? If I was 16.5 stone I wouldnt be looking to bulk up or gain weight regardless of what any magazine or body builder would say. All answers here are subjective. I'm a qualified chemist and therefore would advise against the larger doses advocated by others but what each person does with their own body is their choice.Consult a GP or a nutrionalist as there is often very little scientific evidence behind the claims that companies selling these products and supplements make.

The larger doses of Proteins? Why would you advise against it? Be interested to see studies advising against it.
but what each person does with their own body is their choice.Consult a GP or a nutrionalist as there is often very little scientific evidence behind the claims that companies selling these products and supplements make.

What 'claims' the companies make? Protein is needed for muscle anabolism. I don't see the problem. Obviously I wouldn't expect him to follow Muscletechs 6 week plan to compete in the Olympia, or Twelve easy steps to a buff body. Take any claims with a pinch of salt but supplmentation is useful in certain areas.

Tony Quinn supps however wouldn't be top of my list.

There's currently a Chemical analysis being done on a few protein suppliers to ascertain if the content matches the labelling. I'm awaiting the results on it from a person that had it done.

As a matter of interest Corksham as a chemist do you have the resources to carry out testing on products? I'd be very interested in getting some tested.
