    Hi

I have checked the luas website and have had no joy with this question.

I have a monthly bus and rail pass paid for by work, it costs 98 euro so it's a nice benfit for me. The luas line will be perfect for me picks up beside my home and drops off close to work. I want to know if the ticketing system for tram will be intergrated into the whole bus/dart system. I am persuming it will be but am just seeking clarrificantion.

So if anyone knows for sure can they let me know

    thanks

"With effect from June, 2004 the Scheme will be extended to include LUAS services. From January 2004 the Scheme has also applied where a pass/ticket covers more than one operator (for example, an integrated ticket covering LUAS and Dublin Bus services). "

    More details on :

    http://www.oasis.gov.ie/transport/public_transport/public_transport_commuter_tickets_and_tax.html

But I have seen or heard or read anything about this anywhere,...6 days to go to June...

I think all that means is that should an integrated ticket exist, it could be part of this scheme. Unfortunately, integrated tickets between luas and other forms of transport seem to be some way off...

I heard (from the RPA PR guy on the radio) that it would be two euros per spin from city centre to sandyford.

LUAS 'should be free for a week': Committee boss
    27/05/2004 - 15:01:06

The Chairman of the Dáil Transport Committee has called on the operators of LUAS to allow a week of free travel at off-peak times once the service commences.

Eoin Ryan, Fianna Fáil European election candidate in the Dublin constituency, has said that motorists, pedestrians and businesses in the city have been inconvenienced by the construction of the tram network.

A week of free travel at off peak hours would be an important goodwill gesture by the Railway Procurement Agency, he said.

Eoin Ryan is really fond of not paying for anything these days, none of the cars used on his Euro campaign trail had tax or insurance discs. :D

If that is true I suggest you report it to the Gardai immediately.
