    What would you buy with 1000 pounds in your hand computer wise?
    you HAVE to spend it on computer parts.

    Then i'd slam em into my current computer and join up my hdrive and gfx card and i'd be away in a hack

    cept i'd prob just ogr for the auld half gig of ram and get a nice big hdd istead. the largest i could get my hands on wit change !!

    Beast of a monitor, the best quality I could find - that's something that will last years.
    Then the remainder on a gfx card and other assorted crap.

    GeForce 3
    New Mobo (for the dual Athlon's I'd be buying) and a lunp of RAM (as much as possible.

    If I didn't have to spend it on computer parts, I'd be buying a 12-string Electro-Acoustic guitar.

    If I had to spend it on computer parts I'd probably nab a GeForce 3 GFX card and a kickass monitor (as big as is affordable) - the remainder, if any, would probably go on software.

    If I didn't have to spend it on computer parts, I'd use it to knock a chunk out of my credit card bill.
