Hi, anyone done any NCEF training who would recommend a location to do Level 1. So far DCU or UL seem to be the full time one's I can find info on. Would rather stay in Dublin but may be up to travelling if the UL one is better...

and is there an age limit (i.e. not far off 30 am I passed it? ;)) - like is there a general "average age" of a class or just a wide range?

    thanks,
    BrianG

I was going to do the NCEF level 1 course at one stage but decided against it. I did however end up doing the NCEHS course which there were a few people on it who had attended the NCEF course and found that one to be lacking when compared to the NCEHS one.
Now my opinion is going to be a biased one but I would recomend the NCEHS course. The class I was in, about half were in their late 20's to early/mid 30's the rest were younger Teens/early 20's.
As far as i remember there is a price difference on about €30 between the two courses.
Info on the NCEHS course can be found here

thanks for the info and link - if you don't mind me asking did you do it out of interest or to get a qualificaton to be an instructor?

I actually did it out of both. I had been to a gym maybe twice before doing the course. So I went in with only an interest and knowing nothing. Now I know so much more and it's only the tip of the ice berg.

I have heard the opposite to DrummerBoy. But don't stop at level 1. Complete level 2 personnel training well worth it, job wise, money wise and all important informational wise...
