    Hi,

The moon will occult venus today at 12.11 (11 minutes after noon) and it will reappear at 13.09. Should be an intersting challenge!

Times are correct to within a couple of minutes.

Th moon will be reasonably close to the sun, so be VERY careful with any telescopes and binoculars that you do not even for a fraction of a second look at the sun, you will go blind instantly. Observations of the occultation should only be attempted with telescopes and binoculars by those very familiar with their equiment. Venus is bright enouh that this may be visible to the unaided eye.

    Cheers,
    ~Al
