South Coast tv's deflector service in Cork has been off air for the past few days. Any idea whats going on with it?

Ring them...their engineer used be called Cathal...http://www.southcoasttv.net

Incidentally I am viewing the Fennels Bay mast and have had no problems. Which mast are you pointing at?

I'm not sure which mast. But I'm in the Ballincollig area. Also my parents in Blarney have the same problem. I assume we're both receiving from the same one.

blarney and ballincollig are fed from the same transmitter which would explain that

This is still off and no response from Southcoast? Is it gone for good?

Perhaps they don't have many subscribers in this neck of the woods.

All subscribers are voluntary so I wonder how many they have in general...

Isn't their analogue licence only temporary in any case? And don't they have to switch it off at some stage in the future and have to switch to digital?

I think they applied for a digital license (A varient of MMDS if I recall correctly) Its all on their website. They've been very quiet about it since though. I suspect sky has made a big impact on their target market. However if they could supply ITV and Channel 4 at a reasonable cost I think a lot of those sky customers would be interested.
