I noticed this too. Perhaps they've added it to the list of channels sharing the EuroMix frequency?

Leading up to last weekend when the EU meeting was on in town, NTL had 3 extra analogue test channels. Then last Friday TV5 appeared on Euromix.Sat one,Raiuno and TVE international appeared on the other 3 test channels. At first i though cewl but then they promptly disappeared on monday with the test signals now gone too.
It was a good gesture by NTL but I don’t see why they can’t leave them on or even lob in a few normal channels instead. Analogue is by far there biggest product so why do they keep on downgrading it instead of adding to it.

No more channels will be added to analogue because it is on the way out. Any new channels will be on NTL Digital. Get used to it I'm afraid or pay the 12 euro extra a month and enjoy the extra channels with the rest of us!

They don't want people on analogue!!! It takes up too much space, it's too expensive. They want people to move to digital, because they will also make more money out of them that way. So they're not going to give people an excuse to stay with analogue. I can guarantee you within a year or two, they'll have cut at least 3 or 4 analogue channels from their lineups.

Both off yee are right in that analogue is on the way out,but none the less it still is the number one product in Cable television and the biggest selling point, say over sky. Majority of Cables customers want more channels on the analogue platform then digital.Digital is restricted to one TV with the decoder while analogue can be piped all around the house. In any other business with competition, the consumer usually gets what it wants. But with a monopoly we simply got to like it or lump it(price hikes included).Which really sucks.
Imho , Ntl and chorus should be allowed into each others markets competing to give a better service and ideally a third player into the cable market would be preferable.
Considering the latter will probley will never happen,im moving out and getting sky:D

Even with competition I still think analogue would be on its way out and I am sure over a time an easier way to pipe digital into peoples homes will be devised. Also by going to Sky you are going digital anyway.

Any word on the removal of the analogue Sky Sports chans & why ntl are stalling on their removal.

They're a complete waste of bandwidth which could be used for much better purposes on the digital network.
