I'm thinking of getting a Vespa ET2 50cc and I can't believe how fricking hard it is to get an insurance quote for it in this country :(((
Carole Nash won't quote me because I don't have 1 years claim free driving behind me, and Hibernian don't quote over the phone, only on their website and in person, and their site is down and their branches aren't open on Saturdays.

So...could anyone give me a rough idea what i'd be looking at for fully comp insurance on a 1 year old Piaggio Vespa ET2 50cc. I'm 23 and I live in Louth and i've never been insured before. I have a learners permit. The vespa is a group 2 for insurance.

    Help would be appreciated :D

expect about €800-1000 maybe (just a wild guess)

I was quoted €850 last year for a 125cc scooter I'm 30 and according to my licence I've had it since 1999 (provisional) ......long story !!

ok...I'm gonna have to explain it - I had 125cc ticked on my licence - did my car test - passed - but they never transferred the bike part of licence (which was done in them days).... anyway - I get a bike last year - get a licence and they give me a provisional saying I got it in 1999 and it expires in 2010.... longest provisional ever !!!
