****ed up subtitles on survivor

yeah i know its technically a reality tv show but its not too bad. However for yesterday's episode on TG4 they managed to bollox the subtitles!!:( The subtitles are for the irish commentary to the episode. The subtitles seemed half back to front. So in the opening intro you got subtitles from the end of the episode which showed who got voted off! Bloody muppets. First time I've ever seen any station make such a mess with subtitles.

When lex was doing the immunity challenge, i thought that maybe they got it wrong, but no.
It was the subtitles from next weeks show.
I love survivor (sad cow i know), i have to stop myself from checking the website, as far as i know america are ahead with this one as well as the last, i checked to see who won the last before they showed it here, it didn't ruin watching it thought but took the fun of betting on who's going next- I always won. hehe;)

I was thinking the same thing about Lex. I thought for sure he was gonna win given the position he was in.

Also I don't think there's a reason to be ashamed of watching survivor.
Personally, I feel its the only reality show thats worked. I mean the only positive part of reality tv is genuine interaction between the people involved. Survivor takes this and puts it in a game environment. As a result, you aren't stuck with watching 10 people sitting around all day and just talking. With survivor you get the interaction between contestants but also a focus to the episode due to the challenges.

Yep, its a great format. The team/challenge/immunity dynamic is excellent. It was a good progression to make 3 teams at the start instead of two, but the rest of the series is getting a bit samey.

All Stars is series 8, and series 9 is starting in September. It really needs an injection of freshness. Time for another move from the 'desert island' scenario (2 of the best series were 2 and 3 (australia and africa), simply because they were 'different'.)

Its still the best of the reality shows... Looking forward to series 9.

How did you happen to see what happened? Did you download it from the net? if so, where from?

OK, I was talking to friends in school yesterday and they started talking about Paradise Hotel. I said"What! You like that? It's CR@P! Survivor's way better!" And then they all started giving out to me that I like Survivor, but it's the best show on TG4!

I think the best series so Far is Pearl Islands( Survivor No.7) because of the big twist at the start! But, I didn't think much of Thailand(No.5) altough Shii Ann was cool!

Speaking of Thailand, when Marquesas(no.4) Finsihed up, it took about 4/5 months for TG4 to show Survivor, but they repeated Africa and Marquesas. I wasn't bothered by repaets, but I was wondering where were the new epsiodes. So, I emailed TG4 for abput 4 months and they finally said they were showing Thailand and Amazon. I think I may've been the only one bothered about them showing Survivor! Did anyone else constantly email them like I did?
OK, I'll leave with what I thought were the best, with the list starting at the worst!

Yeah its an alright show, not really into the whole reality TV thing. But certainly not the best show on TG4.

Paradise Hotel is SH1T. Just complete and utter CRAP. And I am sorry Amanda you are very luck you are good looking, because you aren't doing your best presenting on that show.

While you did a great job on Miss World.

Lex should never have voted out Jerri. Keeping Amber instead of Jerri was such a bad decision. It was like voting for the opposition tribe.

Allstars is BY FAR the best survivor. I'm not even going to hint at what happens, but you'll love every backstabbing, doublecrossing minute of it.

yeah its cool better than treasure island whats that new RTE program where a family have to spend a month or so living like they did in the 1800's on a tropical island?

Since it's being co-produced by SBS in Australia (and I think the Learning Channel in the UK are involved as well), it may not be. Still, I'm not hopeful.

I used to watch Survivor back in the day, but I stopped after Series 3.

Survivor 9 Info:

Full title: Survivor Vanuatu - Islands of Fire. Starts in September in the States, probably October on TG4 (going by previous seasons). Vanuatu is another South Pacific island, and is on the ring of fire (a line of volcanic islands in the Pacific). Its back to 16 survivors (which means its back to 2 teams again). Looks alot like Marquesas.....
