    Hi i've got a cousin who is wondering what software is used for professional cd covers and the like?

    Anything realy, what ever they feel comfortable working with. Artwork will need to be in a format that printers can use like .PDF .EPS or a range of image file types but usually .TIFF or .PSD.

    Design companies and the like usually use Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign or Quarkxpress. Maybe a 3d program. There are a load of other programs as well that are used.

    I dunno of any 'professional' package - you could use the software that most cd burning software bundle (& import pic) or stick with what you/he's most comfortable with-and download one of the many readily available templates.
