Hi guys few games for you to name.

    Question number 1.
I used to play it on the Mega drive, it was a platformer and you were some kind of robot thing, you had thrusters on your back and a sheild and you needed sunlight to charge them so between shhoting aliens or whatever you had to shoot the roof of the cave/building to let the sunlight in every so often to charge yourself.
At the time i thought it was a deadly game.

    Question Number 2
Side scrolling Beat em up where you play a robot once again, this time you can pull the arms off other robots and attach them to yourself to get a power up such as saws and lazer cannons. I think it was called Cyborg war or something but i cant seem to find it.

    Question number 3
Im pretty sure this is an easy one as it would be a popular title, Side scrolling game where you can control a Jeep or a Helicopter and the jeep can kind jump. it was played on an Amstrad way back when.

    Anyone any ideas.

You were a kind of blue robot with thrusters on your back and you could fly for a short burst and then you need to recharge. really driving me mad now.

Well judging by your description it sounds like game one icould be Ranger X. Blue Robot with a jet pack. What year did you play the game?

Its an average game imo, then again I only played it for 20 minutes about a month and a half ago in GENS:) The nasty thing about emulation is it can ruin so many great memories from your youth:dunno: So play at your peril

Fair play Ste- for reminding me of Cyborg Justice:) A classic game which took up an hour of my study this evening:p Was there any point to changing your robots body?

Ranger-X was amazing at the time. The game pulled off some ridiculous graphical effects that were supposedly impossible on the mega drive. It has aged a bit but mostly its due to the rock hard difficulty and the piss poor soundtrack.

Game 1 is E-Swat. Not very popular but I certainly loved it. Used complete it every week for a couple of years when I was a kid. Some of the platforming on the last couple of levels with the thruster were very satifying.

1 sounds like rocket knight adventure.

nah Rocket Knight was a guy in a knights suit and he didnt need sunlight.

I think 3 could be a game called 'Swiv'. I never had a sega but that game sounds like one on the snes called 'Super Swiv'. It could have been multiplatform

Game 3 is Army Moves (or possibly Army Moves 2) - I used to play it on my CPC 464...class game. You can emulate it with CaPriCe - I got it up and running the other day and it works fine. :)

Yeah, Ranger X was shlt hard. quality game though, I remember spending hours trying to complete the final level.

i got the game thanks to retrogamer :). when i try to play it though it seems to have the controls setup in such a way as one fire button fires left and the other fires right.

i was gona configure it but havent had a chance yet, think the hard drive on my pc is over heating so it only boots 1 out of every 3 times

    more fun and games.

Thats the way the game was set up to run. It was one of the first games to use the 6 button controller so maybe the controls are better when using a 6 button config.
