doom9.org has some handy tools for ripping audio from DVDs. There are a few programs that record exactly what's coming out of a sound card but you might be better off with a decent audio ripping tool.

cheers. if that freecorder does what it says on the tin, it will do the job nicely.

If you bought a soundcard there is software included (well there was with mine). I was trying to do this lately, ended up using Creative WavStudio, as I said, included with my Sound Card package

i dont see the need to go out and buy a sound card just to record a couple of sound bites, i have 5.1 onboard on my mobo and that does the trick for all my audio needs.
