He is safe till after the election in early June. Right about then the fun starts for him.

    1. The Crib sheets about schools for the FF candidates (as prepared by his Civil Servants against the rules on party political work) . Decision on ethics.

    2. The little problem of underfunding of secondary schools which are going to chop between 1 and 1.5 hours from the school week because Dempsey wont pay them the costs of the part time directive . Lots of pissed off parents of teenagers nationwide very shortly, lots of pissed off employers of pissed off parents ....including the rest of the civil service .

    3. The fact that science subjects such as physics are #1 for the chop when the number taking them is already dropping dramatically. Most schools do not need a full time physics teacher and now cannot afford a part timer thanks to Dempsey. He has not listened to anybody on this, nor has he sught extra funding from Finance to cover his (and the schools) curriculum requirements.

    4. A Cabinet reshuffle in late June by a certain Bertie who has just discovered (watch his approval go up in the next few weeks) that there are indeed votes in being seen to be decisive , especially with his minions, in the wake of the Flynn heave ho.

    Bye Bye Dempsey I'd say.
