my dreamcast is banjaxxed, and i wanna game of jetset radio, sega controllers always broke real easy, anyway is there a program to play dc cds in a pc? i heard before that they're cdg's or something and wont work

Nope not a hope you'll be playing it.
The discs are gd-roms iirc and aren't read properly in standard cd roms so you'll need to wait a while before anything happens on that front.

I read that there was a group thinking of a way to implement a hack to "upgrade" your firmware to make it possible but I dunno how that's coming along.

backups should be possible to play (cd-r rips of images) but even then I cant see it running anywhere near full speed anytime soon due to the overheads involved in emulation and the power of the dreamcast.

Some work is being done on dreamcast emulators but sofar nothing usefull is released.

nope, there was a sequel released on the xbox afaik :E
