I was browsing the net, and i found a trailer for I, robot. As a fan of asimovs, i went to check it out

    see for yourself link
In my opinion, this is a disgrace. this film is completly against asimovs work. it basically shows that the frankenstein complex is justified. any thoughts?

Apparenlty the story has little or nothing to do with Asimovs "I, Robot". Someone wrote a script about robots, a film exec saw it, realised that his company owned the rights to "I, Robot" and renamed the script to that. Someone then re-wrote bits of the script to make it vaguely similar. Thats Hollywood for you.

Based on the trailer alone it looks utter pants. I braindead action flick.

Why cant hollywood just keep their claws out of decent literature.
