Try PCWorld, they have some backpacks for laptops

As for online, I dunno. There was a thread about this a while back though, if you search for it

check out your local lidl, they had laptop rugsacks in a few weeks ago, and if my local store is anything to go by they still have a good few.

one thing though, if you go there make sure you know the approx size of your laptop cos some of them will only fit small 12" screen lappies

I got a nice samsonite bag when I got my laptop. It's held up very well through the years, still looks brand new. Has loads of pockets, even a handy little covered hole to stick the lead of a pair of headphones through. I think it cost something like 40 quid at the time.

The bag shop on liffey steet ( i think it's liffey street: beside safari crafts, that african shop) in dublin sell Jansport laptop bags. Very nice too, made me want to upgrade my lappie backpack :( That said my targus one is holding up well, i've had it about 8 months now, and no complaints. Like i said the Jansport bags are very nice , but a little expensive.

I got one of the new jansport laptop rucksacks a few months ago. Very good bag, excellent padding, completely waterproofed, just a bit expensive (~€100). What i really like about them is that no one ever knows you have a laptop on you so its not so bad walkin around dodgy areas with it. It just looks like another random jansport bag. The Jansport website has all the info and pictures. I think mine is the "thinker" model in the computer section

I think the jansport laptop ones are €99 in the place in liffey st but really nice - i'd advise u to get one with compression straps so u can make the bag smaller when u dont have that much in it...i had a lowe alpine one but since i'm quite short it looked huge on my back cos it would puff out even when it was empty.... i have a really cool case logic neoprene pouch thing - it really protects the laptop so you can use any backpack(not just the laptop ones)...anyhoo if you go for jansport make sure it has "Airlift" straps - they really take the weight of ur shoulders - ...vg if u have a motorbikey too;)
