Which email address to use ?

Say you have your own domain, or a subdomain. What email address do you use when dealing with trying to get a job ?

I was using recruit@, but some very helpful people are telling me to use firstname@

What do you guys use ?

fullname at blah.com seems more professional than just your firstname

No. Definetly not fullname because "blah.com" is his full name.

firstname@fullname.com is most proffessional i think.

Depends on your domain. If it's your name in the domain, I'd go for

firstname@firstnamelastname.com

If it's another domain (but still yours) I'd go for

firstname.lastname@domain.com

Personally, I think firstname.lastname@domain.com looks more professional for job apps

I use johnloughman@yifm.com

However I have an address johnloughman@f2s.co.uk that I may start using, to answer the question asked I'd say john@johnloughman.com if I had the choice.

Oh, I got john@johnloughman.com bought the Domain. Don' use it though. Got john.loughman@bbc.co.uk and johnloughman@gmail.com

i dont think its *that* importnat, as long as your name is there somewhere, and you are still not calling your self deathgiver or doomgod, and that you check your email and reply!

i have:

mail@firstnamelastname.com
firstname.lastname@gmail.com

They are the main ones i use for official type stuff. I think the internet-type-names@hotmail.com just doesn't look good on a CV IMO.
