Sony DCR-TRV19 or DCR-TRV22

    Which CamCorder ?

    I am thinking of buying a Sony CamCorder, either
    DCR-TRV19 or DCR-TRV22.

    Anyone have any experience of either of these ?

    Any pitfalls I should be aware of in buying online
    (from the states/uk) ? Prices quoted are a lot
    more competitive than Irish prices.

    these cameras are quite similar, quality wise not much difference. they are old models, so chances are most shops will only have one or two left so you could probably get a good deal if you look for it.

    if you buy from the states or uk it may be cheaper, but if something goes wrong your kinda screwed. its better to buy from a shop in ireland where if something happens you can just drop it in.

    what prices have you been quoted, if you dont mind me asking?

    well something has to be wrong! if you buy from the states 99% chances the camera will be NTSC and will only playback in black and white. also the tapes you buy in ireland probably wont work cos they are PAL tapes

    Both those models have now been replaced as well. The DCR-HC20 and the DCR-HC30 are the new models @ roughly €799 and €899
