    Hey,

    I want to DL my hotmail folder to computer but keep all the mail in it that hasnt been read marked as un-read

    Anyone know if this is possible ?

    They used to have a POP feature for free, but I believe they charge for it now. Googling for "hotmail POP" gives some interesting results, but I have no idea how well they work.

    Outlook Express works pretty well with hotmail. Outlook had problems, but I think they're fixed since the 2003 edition.

    Just add a new account in OE and all the steps are pretty straight forward. No settings need changing, just add your name, email password etc.

    AFAIK you still can't read it offline in OE.

    I use it all the time for send ing / receiving.
    I don't believe it will do what I'm thinging you want to do though.

    As hotmail is webbased you don't get any access to the mail flags.
    That means that once the mail is downloaded by either the web interface,
    HotPop or whatever, it is marked as such.
