I feel rather freaked out at the moment, I get cold sores (not often once a year if even that). I went down on my girl ive been seeing for awhile the other night. In the morning she said she felt a tingling on her lip that felt like a cold sore (she doesnt get them at al)l. I didnt have a cold sore at that time, im wondering can the virus be passed on to her eh unmentionables by my lips even if i dont have a cold sore at the time.

i think that it can happen but is pretty rare because as far as i know genital and oral herpes are a different strand of the virus.

this is what i meant by rare. obviously its easy for a coldsore to be passed mouth to mouth, but mouth to genitals is different. its the same with warts. warts on your hand are different from genital warts. and it is rare for one to be passed ot the other because they are different types.

(my cousin used to work in Well Woman Clinic and felt the need to give us leaflets on everything)

I also get cold cores and this is something I've read about before.

Technically you can pass them from mouth to genitals, but from what I've read it's extremely difficult. Also, you need to have actual cold sores at the time.

I wouldn't worry about it, but obviously be a good boy and stay clear of her when you have an outbreak...
