    What I think of Relica...

Surprisingly good...I listened to both songs and didn't get overly bored. The track "Run" has great bvs in the chorus and just fill it out so much, gives it a hauting vibe almost. The bass playing is good, instead of just hitting root notes it gets into a groove with the drums providing a solid platform for everything else to flow over the top of it. The solo is very Chili Peppers esqe and soulful rather than flashy. The lead vocals are very stong, in "Escape" kind of like Bono and then in Run they are better than bono. Real emotion in the vocals. Lyrics are pretty good and have some clever lines. Problems with the songs would be lack of major hooks, especailly in escape.

If there was a star rating thing, id give 3.5 out of 5.
Feel free to hack me to bits...

    Made In taiwan.

First of all, im normally into music a little lighter than this
so my opinion might be skewed.

First thing that struck me was the skill of the guitarist and drummer.
Lot of energy there, Vocals were a little shouty on back ache but again
that could just be the genre.

Most wanted was my favourite track, liked the contrast between verse and
chorus in "made in taiwan" - guitar drops out nicely in the verse.

Overall the band is v. tight, singer seems to have charisma and some great
technical skill especially the guitarist and drummer.

These are the tracks I downloaded -

    Skanda - Time Travel
Steerage - Two Strings Are the Same & Push the Dolphin (i think)
Made In Taiwan - Back Ache
    Jaded Sun - No Emotions
    Stimulus - Life Is Serious

Of the acts above only Steerage really stood out the rest being standard "rock" acts.

    Here's a review of two tracks -

    Skanda "Time Travel"

Not bad tune abit formulaic but well performed I liked the use of Keyboards as this gave the number some extra substance. The vocalist sounded confident and strong if just a bit too like a certain Paul Hewson at times (nevermind!). The production values are beefy if a little muddy. Some top end sparkle would make a big difference here.

    Steerage - "Two Strings..."

The best track here, a simple and beguling instrumental which unfortunatly has a shocking mix. A real "garage, carpets and matress against the wall" sound! The drums are quiet heavily biased towards the left channel which is not happy listening esp through phones. Still that does'nt detract too badly from the tune which works very well with deft progession and a mix of tempos.

    Mike.
