Boot Problem

    restarted my computer cos it needed it bein on for a few hours and it got to the boot screen and then restarted same thing happened in Safe mode,and ran dos then and the hard drive was grand ie everything was stil there but just couldnt boot?i ended up having to reinstall xp,but i installed no software or had no virus's on the computer before restart?

    did you get any error messages? sometimes windows files become corrupt due to various reasons (RAM in my case) and can cause problems at boot.

    nope got no error messages at all,all i could hear was the hardrive turning off after the bootscreen and then restarting,ram is knew,but been using it for 2 weeks without a prob
